Paul had an angle on this in 2 Cor 3 and 4. He thought that we, like Moses, also reflected the Lord’s glory. At least insofar as we turn to the Lord and see the glory of Christ shining in the gospel. A glory that is in fact the glory of God shining in the face of Christ and subsequently shining from us.
It seems that seeing is becoming. What you look at changes you.
But perhaps this all sounds a bit mystical. When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Look into the inner life. Look at the outer life of activities and priorities and interests. What have you become? And what has moulded and influenced the person you are.
If you used one of those modern gadgets that tracked and observed all that you said and did, what kind of profile would you have?
Becoming like our Father is what we want. No doubt there is a mix of influences. What other gods are shaping the person you are? How is the Spirit of Jesus effecting his changes in you? Where do you look to get the light that reflects the glory of God?
